Appearance

Choose how Ikiru uses color and contrast in light color schemes, then decide where the site accent color should become more visible across interface elements and editorial blocks.

Appearance style
  1. Go to the 'Design & branding' settings in the Ghost Admin.
  2. Open the 'Theme' tab and go to the 'Site-wide' section, then find the 'Appearance' position.
  3. Choose 'Classic' or 'Bold' from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click 'Save' to activate.
Tip: What are the differences between the options?

Classic – keeps the interface calm and restrained, with softer contrast and a lighter editorial surface.

Bold – uses stronger contrast in light color schemes and makes the publication icon more prominent, especially in the side menu rail. This option does not change the dark color scheme.

Accent elements
  1. Go to the 'Design & branding' settings in the Ghost Admin.
  2. Open the 'Theme' tab and go to the 'Site-wide' section, then find the 'Accent elements' position.
  3. Choose where the accent color should appear.
  4. Click 'Save' to activate.
Tip: What are the differences between accent element options?

None – keeps the accent color restrained and leaves core interface elements in the default theme palette.

CTA and pagination – uses the accent color for call-to-action areas and pagination controls.

Featured blocks – uses the accent color for featured blocks and tag-based post recommendations.

CTA and featured blocks – combines accent-colored call-to-action areas with accent-colored featured blocks and tag-based post recommendations.
